the 7-inch version of Toshiba’s Thrive Android tablet is now available at retailers in 16GB and 32GB editions.

Released back in September, the 7-inch version of Toshiba’s Thrive Android tablet is now available at retailers in 16GB and 32GB editions.

The 7-inch version of the Thrive is equipped with a 1,200 by 800-pixel LED-backlit touchscreen display, a high-definition, runs Android 3.2 Honeycomb, and is powered by a 1GHz Nvidia Tegra dual-core processor. It means that it can manage all Tegra-based entertainment apps and games for Android. In additions, the handset also has a 5-megapixel autofocus camera on the back, along with a 2-megapixel front-facing camera for video chat. MicroSD slots for expanding storage, a micro HDMI port for pushing video or images to an HDTV, and a mini-USB port for sideloading are also specs of Thrive. Naturally, the 7-inch Thrive is equipped with Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity, along with built-in GPS.

In terms of price, Toshiba’s 16GB version is sold with the suggested price of $379, 32GB version for $429.

Toshiba has also been loaded with software from Toshiba; packed its own media player onto the tablet, along with file management applications, Quickoffice, a bundle of games, and Kaspersky Tablet Security.
In terms of price, Toshiba’s 16GB version is sold with the suggested price of $379, 32GB version for $429. It makes it difficult to compete with HP blowing out $99 TouchPads and Amazon pushing the Kindle Fire for $199.

The 7-inch version of Toshiba’s Thrive Android tablet has a slimmer build than the chunky original, but whether with $379 starting price, will it be able to rival with the Kindle Fire this holiday season or not, all will be answered soon in the coming time.

The rumor “the iPad 3 coming in February” may come true.

The rumor “the iPad 3 coming in February” may come true. Before the strong competition from other handsets, Apple is going to launch an iPad 3 soon in February. It is likely that the iPad 3 will largely bring a much higher resolution, making it difficult for other manufacturers to get a similar screen in volume.

The iPad 3 may be visual tablets which allow the iPad to look better than the low-cost alternative handsets. The new (presumably Retina) display apparently requires more resources, so rather than getting slimmer, this new iPad may actually chub out a bit, consistent with the newest reveal on the new iPad case. However, fast product refreshes don’t bring a lot of changes because there isn’t the time to work them through, which may make the iPad 3 an in-line update.

There is also a strong belief that Apple’s refreshed product will be equipped with the Samsung A6 quad-core processor

There is also a strong belief that Apple’s refreshed product will be equipped with the Samsung A6 quad-core processor, the Tegra 3 five-core chip and a new Retina display to make photos quickly.

Apple is facing a number of threats in the coming year; particularly from better competitive products to broadened lines from Amazon Kindle Fire that could more aggressively attack the iPad’s dominance. So whether the launch of the iPad 3 will bring Apple such a success as Apple 2, all will be clear in the coming time.

On Thursday, Android fans in Canada had the opportunity to purchase Samsung’s new Galaxy Nexus smartphone as it released on Canadian carriers Bell for $159.95 and Virgin Mobile for $159.99. However, the Galaxy Nexus, the initial handset to work on the highly anticipated Android Ice Cream Sandwich operating system, still has no U.S. release date or price. It seems to be a big regret for the US. Meanwhile, the Galaxy Nexus has been available in Britain for weeks and is releasing across Europe over the coming few days.

Have you ever wondered about the revenue each Apple staff makes for the company?

Have you ever wondered about the revenue each Apple staff makes for the company? Horace Dediu, a member of Now Asymco had conducted a detailed survey about Apple’s revenue via average revenue each Apple employee earned for the company. In 2010, it was reported that each employee would make $481,000 for the company. That is a great number, isn’t it? Through three quarter of 2011, that number is $320,000 per employee. Although the sale number can increase much at fourth quarter of the shopping season, it is difficult to achieve the revenue as in 2010. It is expected per Apple staff will bring $427,000 in revenue for this year.

By comparison, JC Penney pulls in about $124,000 in revenue each year per employee.
It means Apple has done something very well, very right. In terms of company area, Apple got $1.8 million per employee and profits of nearly $430,000 per employee for its fiscal 2011.

At the current time, Apple owns its 300-plus retail outlets which are the envy of the industry.

But what about compensation for said employees? Apple is not generous much with its employee for such big revenue they brought for the company. Although the average Apple store employee creates sales at the rate of about $278 per hour, they only got wages from $9 to $15 per hour for salespeople and can reach $30 per hour for Genius Bar staff.

At the current time, Apple owns its 300-plus retail outlets which are the envy of the industry. It is reported the company will generate nearly $4,500 in annual retail sales each square foot of retail space where its products are sold, consisting of online sales. That’s in contrast to the annual sales per square foot plus online sales of companies such as Tiffany ($3,070), Coach ($1,776), and Best Buy ($880).

Twitter has just introduced its new look – a major design so as to simplify the interface and attract new users to this popular social network.

The changes consist of a top-top-bottom change, revamping the website, mobile apps, and even TweetDeck, the company’s social-network integrator software. Despite the fact that the new look for the site is releasing slowly, consumers with an iPhone or Android device can check out the new Twitter design right now.

Particularly, the user interface has been given a makeover, with the pen in new Tweet button taking the form of a quill

With the purpose of supplying consumers a familiar experience no matter what device they’re on, the new Twitter has four universal buttons: Home, with your familiar feed; Connect, where you can see all your @replies and mentions; Discover, the place to check out trending topics and search hashtags; and Me, where you can dive deeper into your profile.
Particularly, the user interface has been given a makeover, with the pen in new Tweet button taking the form of a quill — a clever nod to Larry, the bird in Twitter’s logo. In case customers don’t have the new look yet, they can browse the redesigned iPhone app in the gallery of Twitter. Many users suppose that this change make Twitter look more beautiful and easy to use. This is a good signal for Twitter in getting consumers’ attention.
